Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Minister of Interior, Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, urged on Sunday (June 28, 2015) the mayors of governorates to cooperate with those in charge of places of worship in order to nominate a number of citizens and enlist their names in the security directorates so that they would contribute to the security plan.

During a security meeting, the minister ordered that the security measures applied in all the public sectors including the places of worship be looked into and reviewed. He also highlighted the need to pay field visits to the places of worship to follow up the security measures and procedures.

Furthermore, he called for coordination between the mayors and those in charge of places of worship in order to have a number of citizens nominated and enlisted in the security directorates as volunteers to aid security forces within the framework of an effective partnership in the organization process, stressing that these volunteers will undergo training in first aid and civil defence.
