Bahrain Mirror: The European-Bahraini Organisation for Human Rights (EBOHR) said that it received a statement confirming that detainee Hassan Ali Abdullah (20 years old) from Al-Diraz area, held in solitary confinement in Dry Dock Prison, is in "a pitiful condition", stressing that his condition is a result of "physical and psychological torture and severe beating."
The EBOHR added that the reason behind holding Hassan Abdullah in solitary confinement is that the authorities claim he attempted to escape from Al-Salmaniya hospital as he was transferred to receive treatment there.
The EBOHR further stated that detainee Hassan Ali Abdullah suffers from Sickle Cell Anemia. He was detained in solitary confinement in cellblock 10 of Dry Dock Prison, and then was transferred to cellblock 4 to "have his dirty clothes changed due to torture," to be returned again to solitary confinement later on.
