Shiite Cleric Arrested to Be Presented to Public Prosecution

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities arrested on Monday (June 19, 2017) Shiite cleric Sheikh Hussein, son of Sheikh Ali Al-Sitri, after interrogating him in Hamad Town police station at Roundabout 17.
The charges brought against Al-Sitri are still unknown, however, the authorities decided to arrest him until presenting him to the Public Prosecution.
The security authorities have launched a vast campaign against Shiite clerics, summoned and arrested dozens of them, since the citizenship revocation of the Shiite majority spiritual leader, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim on June 20, 2016.
