This statement comes in reference to writer in Akhbar Al-Khaleej newspaper, Mahmeed Al-Mahmeed.
In its statement issued Saturday (July 8, 2017), the Council of Directors of the Jaafari Endowment said it "strongly deplores the abuse by the writer and his violation of ethics and customs in addressing the Chairman of the Council of Jaafari Endowments in a scorning manner, over statements that were denied at the time."
Moreover, the Jaafari Endowment council confirmed in its statement that they are "appointed by virtue of a Royal Decree, and has the full trust of the Kingdom, and will not delay committing to its role under its competencies addressed by law." It further noted that among the goals of the Jaafari Endowment council is maintaining the Kingdom of Bahrain's image of coexistence among all its components.
