Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities released on Wednesday (August 9, 2017) four Shiite clerics one year after their arrest over Diraz protest that was forcibly dispersed on May 23, 2017.
Activists said the authorities released each of "Sheikh Mounir Al-Maatouk, Sayed Yassine Al-Mosawi, Sheikh Imad Al-Shagla and Sheikh Aziz Al-Khadran," after serving their prison term.
The security authorities have launched a vast campaign against Shiite clerics, summoned and arrested dozens of them, since the citizenship revocation of the Shiite majority spiritual leader, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim on June 20, 2016.
