One-Year Prison Term Handed down to Bahraini over Cahrges of Planting Fake Bomb in Al-Sahla

Bahrain Mirror: The fourth high criminal court in Bahrain sentenced a 16-year-old boy to one year in prison on charges of staring fire and setting up a replica of explosives on a road in Al-Sahla.

The authorities claimed that on the day of the incident, the accused and other unknown suspects gathered on Al-Sahla Street near the entrance of Ein Al-Dar, placed a water tank and set a fire in it, adding that they also planted a wooden object with red and blue adhesive tape, electric wires and a wooden piece wrapped in black adhesive tape, and then fled the scene.

The authorities state that the suspect was identified through "investigations." The Public Prosecutor's Office stated that on 26/3/2017, the defendant and other unknown persons set up bomb replica in a public place and intentionally set fire in the said object.
