Bahrain Mirror: More than 8,000 government employees have applied for the voluntary retirement program to date, reported the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on Saturday (November 3, 2018).
The agency explained that the period of submission of applications for the program of voluntary retirement, which is offered only once for employees in government bodies under the Civil Service Bureau, ends on Thursday (November 8, 2018).
The voluntary retirement program is one of the six initiatives of the financial balance program announced by the government in early October, after receiving conditional financial support from three Gulf states- Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates- amounting to $10 billion.
