Standard Chartered Bank to Close 3 Branches in Bahrain, Fears of Dismissing Employees

Bahrain Mirror: Media sources said that Standard Chartered Bank of Bahrain announced on Monday (November 12, 2018) its intention to close 3 branches of it, in the Diplomatic Area, Zayed Town and Saar, starting December 20.
The bank didn't reveal the reasons of its intention, which raises fears that the bank would dismiss number of Bahrainis.
Zayed Town branch was opened 2 years ago (October 2016). Established in 1920, Standard Chartered Bank is considered to be the first bank in Bahrain.
