Death Sentences Issued against 4 Bahrainis Raise Number of Death Convicts to 20

Bahrain Mirror: Four people were sentenced to death on Monday (November 12, 2018) over charge of detonating a bomb in a security patrol, which led to the death of one of its members named (Abdulsamad Abdullah), according to the interior ministry claims.
Among the 4 death convicts is a suspect, Hussein Abdullah Marhoun, who is sentenced to prison terms reaching 30 years.
Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society said on its Twitter account that the number of death convicts over political cases has increased to 20, explaining that the confessions of suspects were extracted under torture, according to human rights organizations and activists.
In January 2017, Bahrain executed 3 detainees: Sami Mushaima, Abbas Al-Samie and Ali Al-Singace.
