King Issues Royal Decree Banning Shura Council Members from Affiliation to any Political Society

Bahrain Mirror: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued on Monday (December 3, 2018) a Royal Order 57/2018 amending some of the provisions of Royal Order 59/2014 defining the criteria of appointment of Shura Council members, effective from the date of its issuance, and to be published in the Official Gazette.
The Royal Order 57/2018 stipulated the addition of a new clause (3) to Article One of Royal Order 59/2014 defining the criteria of appointment of Shura Council members, as follows:
3- Should be unaffiliated to any political society.
