Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Finance Minister Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said the deficit in the general budget dropped 35% last year.
He explained during a press conference that "preliminary estimates of 2018 financial results indicate a 35% decrease in the overall budget deficit compared to the fiscal year 2017."
The Minister attributed the deficit reduction to what he named "public budget restructuring initiatives launched since 2015 that have adjusted the levels of recurring expenses and diversified non-oil revenues."
