Bahrain Mirror: The First High Criminal Court decided to postpone the case of a health ministry employee, accused of embezzling more than 27,000 dinars of ministry funds, until November 12 to summon the witnesses mentioned in evidence list.

According to the authorities, the accused has worked in the ministry since 1988, and justified the reason for not sending the 27,415 dinars he received from foreigners by virtue of his job, for two years to the ministry's treasury, saying that he was waiting for the cashier to come and receive the money.

The details, according to the case file, indicate that the Anti-Corruption Department received a communication from the Ministry of Health, which included a request to take legal action against the health records coordinator working at Al-Salmaniya Medical Complex, who was found to have embezzled more than 27,000 dinars, which he obtains as emergency fees for foreigners in the hospital. The employee used, since 2016 until referring him for investigation, to hand in the receipts to the treasurers without giving him the money. He admitted to the investigating commitee that he kept the money at his home and paid part of it.
