Bahrain Mirror: Al-Muqawim Center for Culture and Media said that Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim will undergo coronary arteries surgery within the coming weeks.

The center said "after performing diagnostic cardiac catheterization and some medical tests for his eminence Sheikh Isa Qassim, the medical team, composed of a group of senior medical consultants, reached a decision that Sheikh Isa needs a coronary arteries surgery. The medical team did not set a date for the operation, because he needs a rehabilitation program, which may take several weeks before the operation."

On December 2, Ayatollah Qasim underwent a diagnostic cardiac catheterization at the request of doctors.
