Trump Rewards UAE, Bahrain for Normalizing Relations with Israel, Classifies them as "Major Security Partners"

Bahrain Mirror: The outgoing US President Donald Trump rewarded both the UAE and Bahrain for their move to normalize with Israel last September by classifying them as "Major Security Partners".
A statement published on the White House official website said that this step "recognizes our exceptional security partnership-exemplified by their hosting thousands of United States Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines-and the commitment of each country to countering violent extremism across the region."
This decision demonstrates a new level of partnership between the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom Bahrain and represents an enduring commitment to economic and security cooperation. It also reflects their extraordinary courage, determination, and leadership in entering into the Abraham Accords.
No one knows the importance of this classification, which seems to be a media reward for the two countries, especially as Trump prepares to leave the White House in four days, on January 20, where he will be succeeded by Democratic presidential candidate Joseph Biden, who previously served as vice president during former President Barack Obama's administration.
