Bahrain Mirror: Sayed Abdullah Al-Ghuraifi stressed that "curriculum changes collide with the values of religion," stressing that "it is not permissible to neglect the pillars of religion for political interests, regardless of the reasons and justifications may be."
Al-Ghuraifi confirmed during his weekly Friday sermon delivered at the Imam Sadiq Mosque in Al-Gufoul that "there was a project to reformulate the educational curricula so that everything that contradicts with some normalization projects with the Zionist entity would be cut out."
"This normalization project requires the 'purging' the curricula of everything that harms it, and requires that cetain perceptions and visions be concealed, even if they are the pillars of religion," he said.
He went on to say that "it is the responsibility of the regime and all the active forces and the responsibility of our people who are protective of their religion and values to preserve all religious and moral pillars in this country," warning that "there is no value in any convictions as long as they do not protect the dignity of this country."
While praising the decision to immediately stop all changes in the educational curricula, Sayed Al-Ghuraifi demanded that "the curricula focus on the manufacture of the human being who is proud of the identity of his faith," noting that "the day [the curricula] lose the ability to helo manufacture the human being who belongs to his pillars, they fail and become void of value."
